Meet the Owner
Asheville native Jillian aka Sarah Nade (serenade) created Songs Sealed Delivered in 2007 as a way to balance her financial responsibilities and having the special time to care for her children at home. As a long-time jester, siren, dancer and delight, the idea of dressing up in outlandish costumes and singing in front of complete strangers came naturally to Jillian.
Singing telegrams have a long and storied history, but until recently, like old-fashioned soda fountains and drive-in movies, they were a thing of the past, a “remember back when.” Songs, Sealed, Delivered helped revive this tradition, and Jillian’s performances have garnered a new generation of singing telegram fans.
Jillian’s innovative work in singing telegrams has drawn a lot of attention since starting Songs Sealed Delivered in 2007. From performing on live TV, being followed by News 13, to a detailed write-up of her business in the Asheville Citizen-Times, to her most recent interview in WNC Parent, it seems that folks can’t get enough of Jillian. She’s performed in homes, schools, offices, restaurants, and hospitals all over Western North Carolina, while raising her three wonderful sons.
As her success grows so has Songs Sealed Delivered. Jillian saw a need in her area for dependable, talented and professional children's entertainment, and has since added children's entertainment and characters to their ever expanding repertoire and staff.
As a daughter of an entertainer and artist, she puts her heart and soul and lot's of creativity into everything she does. She thinks of her work as art and personally sees over every party, delivery or booking to ensure complete customer satisfaction and a one-of-a-kind experience.
